Keg South Of Kendall Reviews

I stopped in for lunch with my employees while in the area. I used to work in this area consistently about 10 years ago and would frequent keg south so decided we would stop in today. I had my normal go to while coming here which is the gyro. Service was pretty quick, which is always nice when you're having lunch on the run. My employee had to a sandwich which she said was really good. I was able to steal some of his fries, which are some of the yummiest around as they make them fresh. My Gyro was OK. The bread wasn't as fresh as I remembered, and this tzatziki was a bit lumpy. This place has some good other options so I would definitely come back and as I said, the fries are a must if you go, but I wasn't as impressed as I have been in the past.

Great food and wonderful service, totally impressed with their hospitality and great food, best fries and great beef plates, great beer selection selection, try it, you won't be disappointed!!!

Came here with the family and everything was great. Service was good and wings were exceptional. My daughter had the boneless wings which were pretty decent, they are a step up from your usual boneless wings (glorified popcorn chicken). Gotta go back to try the burger and other menu options.

Mostly unchanged in the decades of it's existence, frozen in time, still serving up simple but damn good burgers and well cooked, albeit greasy, fries. However I cannot attest to how good the other menu items are, I pretty much have only had the Keg Burger in the thirty plus years of coming here. It's always a trip back in time as soon as I open the door and step in and hopefully it will stay that way.

Honestly, I might get some hate for this one, but if I had to choose a beer/wing outing between Keg south vs Flanagans, keg south would have my vote. This IS a true local watering hole, dive bar vibes, I'm all here for it. You come here to have a few beers, unwind, maybe play pool, pick some tracks in the Jukebox, and just CHILL. It's popular among the locals IYKYK type deal, but honestly a great place to hide away and watch a game or just have a beer and wings, and fries.... Their wings are better than Flanigans, and can possibly rival sports grill too. I get mine Special grilled with Cajun, or just buffalo. The burgers are cheap and simple, reminiscent of a Backyard BBQ burger, with a slice of American cheese. Everything is made to order, the service is quick and attentive. It's simplicity done cheaply and done correctly. Nothing is over complicated, and in that in itself is refreshing, in a city where everything can be so grand all the time. A spot for a regular, check it out if you're around.
